Italian Silver Chains for Men

Collection: Italian Silver Chains for Men

Italian-made 925 sterling silver chains for men — Figaro, curb, Cuban, and Box link, hand-picked for weight and drape.

Men's silver chains in solid 925 sterling, made in Italy — heavier links, sturdier clasps, from $28. Fifty-one chains cut for men's wear: curb, figaro, ball, snake, rope and box links in gauges with real presence, plus rhodium-plated finishes that shrug off tarnish.

These come from Italian family workshops with generations of chain-making behind them. Solid 925 throughout — not plated over base metal — and hallmarked.

Frequently asked questions

What length silver chain should a man wear?

55 cm (about 22") is the everyday men's standard — it sits at or just below the collarbone. 50 cm rides higher and suits open collars; 60–70 cm hangs over the chest and works with a pendant or over clothing. If between sizes, go longer.

Which chain styles read as men's?

Weight does more than the link pattern. Curb, figaro, ball and rope in 3 mm and up are the traditional men's choices; a heavier snake chain wears well too. Everything in this collection is chosen in men's gauges with clasps sized to match.

Are these solid silver or plated?

Solid 925 sterling silver all the way through, made in Italy and hallmarked. Some are finished with rhodium — a hard, bright plating over the solid silver that resists tarnish — but none are silver-plated base metal.

Will a silver chain tarnish if I wear it daily?

Daily wear actually slows tarnish — contact with skin keeps the surface bright. A chain left in a drawer tarnishes faster than one worn weekly. When it dulls, a silver cloth restores it in a minute; rhodium-plated chains barely tarnish at all.

Can a chain be shortened?

Most link styles can be shortened before dispatch — tell us the length you want when ordering and we will confirm for that chain.
