A 12-carat boulder opal from Yowah, Queensland — and boulder opal is found nowhere else on earth. It grows over millions of years inside ironstone, each piece a one-off painting nature never repeats.

Set by Natalia in 22-carat solid gold — exceptionally pure, and rarely used in rings because of its softness, chosen here for the depth of colour only 22ct brings. The stone is offset by a natural diamond, 0.04 ct, H colour, VS clarity, for a quiet spark alongside the opal. The shank is fine silver — comfortable, and a deliberate contrast to the gold that cradles the stone.

Every piece of the setting was designed for this opal alone. When the stone is gone, it's gone.
