A piece of the outback sky, melted into silver.

Slip this ring on and you're looking at a piece of Coober Pedy — a solid Australian opal with a play of colour that shifts every time you move your hand. Green, pink, a flash of blue, then gone. Around it, a hot pink tourmaline and a bright yellow sapphire sit like tiny sparks of company. The 999 fine silver band is bright, wave-like, shaped by fire rather than hammer — a contemporary piece that still feels ancient. Wear it solo as the centrepiece of your hand, or stack it against a plain silver band to let the opal do all the talking. It'll start conversations — opals always do — and since this one is uniquely yours, the answer is always "no, there's only one."

Opal is the stone of imagination, emotional depth, and inner vision — October's birthstone and long associated with Libra energies. Coober Pedy opals in particular are said to carry the dreamlike quality of the desert sky at dusk. Hot pink tourmaline is the stone of the heart: compassion, self-love, and the courage to feel fully. Yellow sapphire brings warmth, clarity, and a sense of abundance — in Vedic tradition it's the stone of wisdom worn for prosperity and good fortune. Together they hold the Sunfire Seer collection's promise — the land, the cosmos, and the soul in one small circle of silver.

Handmade on the Central Coast of Australia by artist-jeweller Natalia, part of the melted silver series where 999 fine silver is taken to the edge of its melting point and allowed to flow into its own natural form. No two bands are the same — every ripple, texture and curve is unrepeatable. The opal is sourced directly from Coober Pedy in outback South Australia and hand-set into the molten landscape once the silver has cooled, with the tourmaline and sapphire set alongside. Because it's 999 fine silver rather than sterling, this handmade Australian opal ring will never tarnish — no polishing cloths, no black residue on your skin.

Setting three stones into a melted band is always a bit of a gamble — you never quite know where they'll sit until the silver cools. This one landed just right. — Natalia
