Handmade on the Central Coast of Australia by artist-jeweller Natalia using the traditional cloisonné technique — one of the oldest and most painstaking forms of enamelling. Thin silver wires are shaped and soldered onto a 999 fine silver base to form each tiny cell of the design; every cell is then filled by hand with vitreous glass enamel and fired in the kiln. Each pair is re-enamelled and re-fired multiple times to build up the depth and gloss of the finished colour — a slow process where every firing is a small gamble. Because of that, no two pairs of these sterling silver enamel earrings are ever exactly the same.
