Enamel Silver Earrings Cherry Blossom

A pair of sakura flowers rendered in vitreous enamel and fine silver — soft pink with white and yellow at the centres, catching the light as they move. Each flower is about 16mm across, big enough to be noticed, small enough to wear every day. One of Natalia's most-loved enamel designs.

Cherry blossoms — sakura — are one of the most treasured botanical symbols in the world. In Japanese tradition they stand for the fleeting beauty of the present moment: a few glorious days of bloom, then gone. Wearing them is a small, daily reminder to notice the good while it's here. A thoughtful gift for spring birthdays, new beginnings, or anyone who treasures slow, mindful beauty.

Handmade by Natalia on the Central Coast of Australia using both champlevé and cloisonné techniques. For the champlevé, recesses are hand-engraved into the 999 fine silver petals before each colour is packed in and fired — the engraving shows subtly through the enamel and gives the blossoms depth. The cloisonné detailing uses fine silver wires soldered into the petal shapes to hold pools of colour side by side. Each piece passes through the kiln more than ten times to build up the colour; every firing is unforgiving, so no two flowers are ever identical. The ear wires are 925 sterling for strength where they pass through the ear.
