Pink Orchid Champleve Enamel Pendant

A large-scale orchid pendant at 45 × 35mm — one of Natalia's statement enamel pieces. The champlevé technique lets her build a single luminous pink bloom with every petal engraved by hand, the enamel pooling into the recesses like watercolour held in a bowl. Big enough to read across a room, subtle enough that the colour does the work.

Orchids have been the hothouse aristocrats of the flower world for centuries — a symbol of refinement, luxury, and lasting strength (the plants outlive the people who grow them). A pink orchid is the warmer side: femininity, grace, and the quiet confidence of a flower that doesn't need to shout. Handmade by Natalia on the Central Coast of Australia. The orchid's petal structure is engraved by hand into the 999 fine silver base before the enamel is packed in, so the piece has visible depth and movement beneath the colour. Each orchid passes through the kiln more than ten times to build up the luminous pink — every firing is unforgiving, and at this size the risk of a colour breaking is higher. Every orchid that survives the bench and kiln is unique.
